Split PDF

Split a PDF by page ranges or into individual pages directly in your browser without uploading the file.

How it works

Choose the supported file, configure any options shown for this job, run the tool, then download the generated result. Formatberry does not require an account.

Split PDF pages by range

Split PDF separates one PDF into smaller outputs. Enter comma-separated page ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7 when you want one output for each range, or split the document into individual pages. This is useful when a large PDF contains several sections that need to be shared or stored separately.

Split a PDF locally in your browser

The splitting operation runs on your device, so the selected PDF is not uploaded for this job. Multiple outputs may be packaged together for download. Splitting creates separate files; it does not change the order of pages inside the original PDF. For a new page order, use Rearrange PDF Pages.

When to split instead of extract

Split PDF is best when one source document needs to become several files, such as chapters, attachments or individual pages. If the goal is one smaller PDF containing only selected pages, Extract PDF Pages is more direct.

Split PDF questions

Can I extract only a few chosen pages? Yes. If you want one new PDF made from selected pages rather than several split outputs, Extract PDF Pages is the more direct tool.
