Convert from PDF

Turn PDFs into images, text, Office documents and extracted assets.

Decide whether you need an image, text or editable document

A PDF can be converted in several fundamentally different ways. PDF to JPG and PDF to PNG render whole pages as images. PDF to Text extracts selectable text from text-based PDFs. Extract Images from PDF targets supported embedded image objects instead of rendering each page. Those outputs solve different problems and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Office output has real reconstruction limits

PDF to Word, PDF to Excel and PDF to PowerPoint use focused reconstruction strategies rather than claiming a lossless round trip to the original source file. Fixed-layout PDF content does not always map cleanly back to reflowable Word documents, spreadsheet cells or editable presentation elements. Check the individual route for the supported envelope and known limitations.

Use OCR only when the PDF is image-based

If a scanned PDF has no useful selectable text, OCR PDF can add recognized searchable text. OCR accuracy varies with resolution, blur, skew, language, fonts and layout, so important names and numbers should be verified against the original page. Each tool also states whether processing stays in the browser or uses the isolated service.

Choosing between Excel and PowerPoint: Use PDF to Excel when the PDF contains detectable tables you need in rows and columns. Use PDF to PowerPoint when the goal is to preserve each page visually as a slide rather than rebuild its contents as independently editable presentation objects.
