Convert detected PDF tables to Excel
PDF to Excel is designed for PDFs that contain tables the conversion engine can detect. It extracts those detected table structures into an XLSX workbook so rows and columns can be reused in a spreadsheet. The certified scope is table extraction rather than rebuilding an unknown original workbook from every visual element on the PDF page.
What PDF to Excel does not reconstruct
A PDF is a fixed-layout document, so it does not necessarily retain the formulas, workbook structure, sheet logic, data validation or source formatting that may have existed before the PDF was created. Documents without detectable tables are rejected rather than turned into misleading spreadsheet data. If you only need selectable text, use PDF to Text instead.
PDF to Excel processing and privacy
This conversion is server-assisted because table extraction and XLSX generation run in the isolated conversion service. The selected PDF is transferred only for this job and handled ephemerally under the production retention, sandboxing and logging controls. Review important values and table boundaries in the resulting workbook against the source PDF.
