Formatberry

PDF Converter

Choose a specific supported conversion to or from PDF. This is a navigation hub rather than a fake universal converter.

Why Formatberry uses separate PDF converters

“Convert PDF” can mean very different operations. Turning a JPG into a PDF is not the same technical job as extracting a table from a PDF into Excel, recognizing text in a scan, or reconstructing a Word document. Formatberry therefore exposes the conversion direction and engine explicitly. Pick the source and desired output first instead of uploading a file to a universal black box and hoping the result matches your intent.

Start with the output you actually need

For visual page copies, use PDF to JPG or PDF to PNG. For selectable text, use PDF to Text; for image-only scans, use OCR PDF. Word, Excel and PowerPoint routes each have different reconstruction limits. In the other direction, image and Office source formats have their own dedicated PDF converters.

Conversion is not always reversible

PDF is a fixed-layout delivery format, so converting to PDF can discard editable structure that cannot be perfectly reconstructed later. A PDF created from Excel does not guarantee a later PDF-to-Excel job will reproduce the original workbook. The same principle applies to Word and PowerPoint. Individual tool pages describe the supported processing model, output type and limitations before you run the job.
