Choose the PDF workflow that matches the job
Formatberry separates document work into focused tools instead of routing every file through one generic converter. Use Convert to PDF when the source is an image, text file or supported Office document. Use Convert from PDF when you need page images, text, Office output, OCR or embedded-image extraction. For page-level changes such as merging, splitting, rotating, reordering or cropping, start with Organize PDF. The PDF Converter hub collects the supported conversion directions in one place.
Popular conversion routes
For common image-to-document jobs, go directly to PNG to PDF, HEIC to PDF, TIFF to PDF or WebP to PDF. Plain-text files have a focused TXT to PDF route. When the source is already a PDF, use PDF to PNG for page images or PDF to Word when supported text-based content needs an editable document output.
Privacy depends on the engine required
Many PDF and image operations are designed to run directly in the browser and explicitly state when selected files are not uploaded. Heavier jobs such as Office conversion, HEIC decoding, OCR and several structured extraction workflows use the isolated processing service instead. Those routes disclose the server-assisted path before processing and handle the selected file ephemerally under the production retention, sandboxing and logging controls. No account is required for the public tools.
Focused tools with explicit limitations
A useful converter should say what it does not guarantee. PDF to Word is intended for straightforward text-based documents rather than pixel-perfect recreation of every layout. Compression does not promise an arbitrary target size. Visual signing is different from certificate-based cryptographic signing. OCR accuracy depends on the source scan. Keeping those boundaries visible helps you choose the right workflow before processing a document.
